She graduated from the University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy, with high distinction.
She has worked in Health Care in Europe, the United States and Australia.
Monique entered the world of hearing loss when she went totally deaf in her left ear in a matter of 4 hours.
She tells her story and what she learned from the experience in her book: What Did You Say? An unexpected Journey into the World of Hearing Loss.
She served six years as Governor-appointed Commissioner with the MCDHH (Commission for Deaf, Deafblind and Hard-of-Hearing Minnesotans)
She has been twice President of the Hearing Loss Association of America – Twin Cities’ Chapter (HLAA TC).
Monique is a powerful public speaker and a staunch advocate for those with hearing loss.
Besides her work with community and support groups, she is an industrial consultant on work-related hearing issues.
Her mission is “to keep people hearing better, longer.”

Monique is passionate about Hearing Loss Prevention and Hearing Preservation for people of all ages
Her special focus is on Noise Induced Hearing Loss Prevention within industry – she is consulting with: companies, cities, counties and other organizations about Hearing Safety for employees – both on and off the job
Monique also delivers keynotes and does community education presentations on a variety of hearing loss topics.
Monique does Hearing Safety Training for Utility, Industrial and Construction Employees She also does Keynote Speeches and Community Education Presentations on a variety of hearing loss topics.
